Alexia L. Hudson is a member of the Casualty department at Marshall Dennehey law firm. She focuses her practice in the areas of Personal Injury Protection, SIU, and bodily injury. She represents her client vigorously through all stages of litigation.
Alexia earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. During her law school career, she was a competitor on the BLSA Mock Trial Team. She was also a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the Public Defender (17th Judicial Circuit). She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Political Science.
Alexia began her career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, Florida. She has extensive litigation experience in criminal justice. She practiced in county court, domestic violence divisions, both county and felony, juvenile court, and circuit court. She has taken countless of depositions and has tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict.
After her career in public service, Alexia began her career in civil litigation at one of Florida’s largest Plaintiff Personal Injury Protection firms’. During her tenure at that firm, Alexia became a supervising attorney who trained and supervised attorneys assigned to her team. She trained and prepared the attorneys in developing their civil motion practice skills.
Alexia is an active member of her community. She is the currently the President-elect of the T.J. Reddick Bar Association. She is a member of the Global Jamaica Diaspora Youth Council whose aim is to increase the connection of young people in the Jamaican diaspora. She has her own non-profit organization, Soulz On A Mission, dedicated to decreasing juvenile delinquency and is an official partner with William Dandy Middle School where she serves as a mentor to the magnet program students. Alexia wears many hats, but when she finds the time, she loves the beach and spending time with her family and friends
