Kersti G. Myles, Esq. is the Director of Policy and Government Relations at the Urban League of Broward County. Prior to joining the Urban League, Ms. Myles was Chief of Staff to Minority Pro Tempore State Senator Bobby Powell, Jr. representing portions of Palm Beach County and a legislative aide in the Florida House of Representatives representing portions of Miami-Dade County. Kersti also served as Housing Advocate in the Homeless Legal Prevention Project with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County handling evictions, landlord tenant disputes, and fair housing complaints.
Ms. Myles, a South Florida native, is a proud alumna of the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and Minor in African-American Studies, Florida Atlantic University with a Master in Nonprofit Management and a Juris Doctor from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law. She firmly believes it is her personal calling to create policy, support candidates, and cultivate progressive ideology that empowers and benefits communities of color with emphasis on black women.
